Samsung Galaxy Note 7 – Review and Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy note 7 is an impressive device that manages to surprise buyers, even those with high expectations.

Design and Display

A curved 5.7 inch screen provides more estate for writing with the S pen. A curved design on the back means the phone sits better in your hand. The curved edges remain but have been made more subtle to reduce the incidence of false touches that people have complained about its predecessor.

With super AMOLED HDR display, the galaxy note 7 is ultimately vying for the coveted position of World’s best smartphone display. The Note 7 is waterproof enough to let you take romantic pictures in the rain or underwater when you go swimming.

Iris Scanner

This futuristic technology can be used to unlock your phone and other private folders. Swipe from the left and the iris scanner reveals an iris scanning menu that seeks your eyes and unlocks your phone within a second. The Iris scanner is not trying to replace the fingerprint scanner, not yet. It comes in as a supplement just in time for humanity to start getting used to it.

Battery Life

An upgrade to 3500mAh means the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has more power to keep those LEDs bright. It takes the same amount of time as the Note 5 to charge despite being larger. This is thanks to USB type-c which is a big switch from the more conventional microUSB.

Camera

The Galaxy Note 7 has a 12MP sensor and works well even in low light conditions and can also shoot 4k video. The phone also has a 5MP front camera.
