The event, an open Fair for students, individuals planning on changing career to ICT and those trying to understand more of ICT, will hold in Lagos, Nigeria on Thursday, September 29, 2016 and will present an opportunity for students and young Nigerians to look into the future of their prospective careers and get insights from professionals into the best way to harness their profession for self-growth and universal impact.
According to the Chief Executive Officer, eBusiness Life Communication Limited, organisers of the event, Mrs. Ufuoma Emuophedaro: “Education is nothing if not directed at solving a social challenge or helping the educated attain a level of passion-fulfilment in the society.”
She further noted: “This event will further present an opportunity for companies to showcase what products and services they have that is geared towards enhancing career prospects of Nigerians. It will be an avenue for participating organisations to show their alignment towards developing skills in Nigeria.”
Career Fair 2016, with the theme: “ICT Career: Laying the Blocks for the Future”, seeks to bring together stakeholders that are involved in shaping and encouraging professionalism in the ICT industry. They will include both government and private sector agencies and companies. Participation will also transverse Recruitment Agencies, ICT Training Institutes, ICT service users, among others.
It will also feature a session for exhibition of products and services by participating organisations. Programme for the event will also include seminar on entrepreneurship opportunities.
eBusiness Life has over the years organised annual events including the International Girls in ICT Day, Broadband Forum, among others.
