Lagos State Government has unveiled a Career Pavilion at the ongoing Art of Technology (AOT) Lagos 7.0 conference, aimed at accelerating talent development and preparing Nigeria’s workforce for future opportunities.
The initiative, announced during the two-day technology summit in Lagos, is designed to connect young professionals, students, and job seekers with industry leaders, recruiters, and training providers.
Organizers said the Pavilion will serve as a hub for career guidance, mentorship, and skills matching in Nigeria’s fast-evolving digital economy.
The AOT Lagos conference, convened annually by the Lagos State Government in partnership with Eko Innovation Centre, has become a leading platform for technology policy, innovation, and ecosystem development.
This year’s edition focuses on workforce readiness, digital transformation, and the role of technology in shaping Nigeria’s economic future.
Speaking at the launch, officials noted that the Career Pavilion reflects Lagos State’s commitment to building a pipeline of skilled talent to meet the demands of emerging industries.
The new Pavilion will feature interactive sessions, recruitment drives, and workshops designed to equip participants with practical skills and provide access to career opportunities.
Organizers said the initiative aligns with the state’s broader vision of positioning Lagos as Africa’s leading digital hub, while addressing unemployment and skills gaps among young people.
The Pavilion is expected to foster collaboration between government, academia, and private sector employers, ensuring that Nigeria’s workforce is prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had, at a forum, enthused that the State plans to drive AOT Lagos as a vehicle to make the state a hub for global technology outsourcing.
