… Calls For Application For Drivers of Election Awareness Campaign

Elections are a critical determinant of how societies are run, and as a result, everyone needs to be involved as the outcome affects all.

This is the idea and objective behind the partnership between Co-creation Hub (CcHUB) and Enough is Enough, a social crusader Tech startup as Nigeria prepares for elections that will culminate in the 2023 general elections.

A call for participation from CcHUB seeks to use the partnership to recruit individuals to drive voter education and election awareness campaigns in their community of influence – whether offline or online. The campaign is tagged GoVote campaign.

A statement from the tech Hub revealed that in 2019 only 34.75% of registered voters in Nigeria went to the polls to cast their ballots. This, according to CcHUB, means that for every ten eligible voters, less than four voted in the 2019 presidential elections.

“Over the years, Co-Creation Hub in partnership with “Enough is Enough Nigeria” has supported voter education in Nigerian to simplify the voter registration process and encourage people to go to the polls. Using www.govote.ng, we have reached over 200,000 people using offline and online mechanisms,” it affirmed.

It goes further to solicit for Nigerians to sign up for the campaign which has its deadline for September 10, 2021: “As we expand into more communities and states across Nigeria, we are inviting you to become one of our Electoral Champions and community leaders to drive voter education and election awareness campaigns in your community of influence – whether offline or online.”

Enough is Enough is a coalition of Nigerian youth advocacy groups to promote better governance and political and public accountability in the country through active citizenship.
