Fidelity Bank has alerted the public of an illegal promo offering that is geared at defrauding unsuspecting victims.
A public notice issued by the management of the commercial bank states: “Our attention has been drawn to an illegal promo making rounds online called “E-Universe Promo.
Neither Fidelity Bank nor any of its agents have any ties to the purported E-Universe Promo. We conduct our business promotions in line with the laws of the federation and global banking standards.”
The bank management goes further to assure its customers that Fidelity Bank does not encourage scams, illegal investments and schemes aimed at defrauding unsuspecting members of the public, and warned that anyone who participates in the said scheme does so at his or her own detriment.
It will be recalled that the financial sector regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has warned the public against participating in unverified promo offerings.
