The Nigeria eGovernment Summit is inviting interested persons, groups and organisations to submit nominations for the Nigeria eGovernment Excellence Award 2026 — its flagship recognition programme honouring outstanding achievement in digital government service delivery across Nigeria.
According to Victor Makinde of the Nigeria eGovernment Excellence Award 2026 Organising Committee, the Award celebrates the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of Government, private sector organisations, and individuals who are leading the transformation of public service delivery through technology.
The invite, according to Mr. Makinde, is open to individuals who have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and measurable impact in advancing eGovernment in Nigeria.
The award presentation to deserving winners will take place in Lagos on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The Awards are primarily classified into four (4) categories, namely Federal Government MDAs; State Governments; Private Sector and Individuals, with 35 sub categories, including Best Federal MDA Digital Transformation Award; Best Federal MDA Citizen Service Portal; Best Cross-Agency Integration Award; Best State Digital Transformation Award; Most Improved State eGovernment Service Deployment; and Best State Mobile Government Initiative.
Others include, eGovernment Startup of the Year; eGovernment Technology Partner of the Year; Digital Identity & Verification Innovation Award and Best Cloud & Infrastructure Provider for the Private Sector category. For individuals Category, Young Digital Government Leader; eGovernment Lifetime Achievement Award; and GovTech Entrepreneur of the Year will be among the Awards for grabs.
All nominations are to be submitted via the online nomination form. Multiple nominations and self-nomination is encouraged by the organisers, but must be supported by clear evidence of achievement and measurable impact. Nomination deadline is Friday, June 12, 2026.
