The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) is stepping up with campaigns geared at promoting the country’s digital identity and enlightening the public on the benefits of the .ng domain, with a Webinar Series.
The maiden edition, which holds on Zoom App on Thursday, July 3, 2025, has its theme as “Putting Nigeria First in the Digital Age: Why .ng Matters”.
A statement by the NiRA Training and Programme Officer, Jessica Alexander explains that the webinar will explore the role of Federal Government’s Nigeria First Policy in shaping the country’s digital landscape and highlight why the .ng domain should be the foundation of every Nigerian organisation’s online presence.
According to the statement, “In today’s digital economy, owning and promoting our digital identity is no longer optional, it is a national priority. The .ng domain is Nigeria’s digital signature, and its adoption is essential for driving local innovation, digital trust, and economic sovereignty.”
The Webinar will host NiRA Members, Tech Professionals, the Media, Entrepreneurs, Policymakers, Digital Advocates and Internet Stakeholders.
